Weddings & Elopements

I believe your wedding day is to be all about you as a couple, your hopes and wishes and that your ceremony will reflect a beautiful and unique story of the love you share.

Be it a grand day or night ceremony, a more intimate celebration surrounded by your nearest and dearest or perhaps a secret elopement to a secluded destination with just your witnesses. I am here to work with you to bring your ceremony vision to life and leave you with wonderful lifelong memories that celebrate you as a couple.

Bound by love - I support the choice of all couples in love and of the required age to have the legal right to marry.

Commitment Ceremonies

Renewing Vows

As a couple you may have decided that a commitment ceremony binds your hearts together and has all the meaning of a formal legal marriage. I would be honoured to meet with you and begin the creation of your everlasting commitment ceremony, one that reflects everything about you as a couple and leaves you with the best memories of your wonderful forever day.

The renewing of vows is such a beautiful and significant way for a couple to reaffirm their love for each other often in the presence of the now expanded family, children, grandchildren, fur babies and significant others, old and new. You may wish to renew your vows on a date of significance, a special anniversary or simply as a testament to making it through life’s challenge, as a couple together and stronger in love and commitment.

The renewing of vows can be as formal or informal as you wish but it is always a celebration of you as a couple. It would be an honour to support you in bringing this celebration together and conducting your renewal of vows ceremony. New chapters, new beginnings, and old commitment renewed.

The Process

  • Let's meet
Let's catch up so we can see if we are a good fit. I will ask you to share your love story with me so we can weave it into beautiful picture your special day. We can catch up in whatever way is helpful: face to face, over the phone, via zoom or other. Choosing the right celebrant that resonates for you is important. If you feel we are a good fit, we can move forward.
  • Completing the NOIM
The Notice of Intended Marriage Form (NOIM) needs to be lodged at least one month before your wedding. This is the legal document that once completed states your intent to marry. We will complete the NOIM together and I will let you know what documents and ID you will need to provide to me and step you through the completion of the required formal marriage documents and respective timeline.
  • Creating your ceremony
Once I have learned about your journey as a couple, I will provide you with a questionnaire that documents all the finer details of what, where and who you wish to be included in your ceremony. For example, Venue, theme, Special music or songs, poetry, who is in your wedding party and significant roles of loved ones are to play. Ceremony rituals, such as hand fasting, a rose or sand ceremony, passing around the sharing of rings, to mention some and we won’t miss a thing. I will then start crafting your unique story and wedding ceremony. I will work with you throughout to ensure we create a ceremony that speaks to the heart of the occasion and will linger along the years ahead, capturing everything about you and your special day. I want your day to be perfect, so you will always have the final decisions will be yours.
  • Before the big day
This is where we talk through the more intricate plans for the day and every aspect of the ceremony. From props, to timing, important people and roles, and audio and special music pieces. This generally occurs 8-10 weeks before the big day. As part of my service, your vows will be printed onto two sets of quality cards that I will bring along on the day. At least one week before your wedding, I will contact you to finalise finer details. If a rehearsal is required, let's lock in a date. This should be at least two weeks before the week.
  • On the day
I will arrive at least one hour before the ceremony is set to start to set up and introduce myself to your photographer and videographer. After settling up and I will be there to greet and welcome your family and friends and hopefully be a calming presence I provide my own professional P.A system with stand, microphone and bluetooth ability. After the ceremony, you will receive a personalised wedding folder containing your commemorative marriage certificate, a copy of the written ceremony pieces and your vow cards as a keepsake reminder of your day.
  • After your wedding
I will lodge the formal documents to Births, Deaths and Marriages the first business day after your wedding. This will legally register your marriage and start the process for your offical marriage certificate which can then be used for things such as name changes.
